I've never been able to bring up Narrator with windows key U, I just use the
run dialog box and type in narrator and hit enter. But like allot of you, I
installed NVDA due to all the lock ups since 8.0's release. This user
account control causes wineyes to crash nearly every time UAC comes up. I
think yesterday's lockup I experienced was mainly caused by the Java
updater. Once I got rid of the updater, I click on my ninite updater to get
the latest Java, and when UAC came up I hit alt C to continue and windoweyes
crashed. This is when NVDA came into good use. I then rebooted, this time I
hi-lited the ninite updater, brought the context menu up and arrow down to
run as administrator and had no problems.
