was wondering about something similar. Just used to the old browse mode
buffer behavior, how do you know when the page is loaded other than the
speaking of the first line? Still pretty slow to load in Internet
Explorer 11 and ff 33.

Verbosity, browse mode, speak status messages. is that the one?
Not sure if it speaks out a message every time part of the page updates.
i know that for the initial load you get info such as the number of
links and headings and what not. I was thinking more along the lines
of a short audio signal, a beep if you like

Unless I am missing something there is actually a setting already
somewhere in the verbosity, browse mode section. Look for speak
status changes.

Just an idea, not sure how late this is for it to be packaged with the
new version 9.
It would be nice to know when the page is minimally ready for
navigation, for example, after it's finished loading into the browser
window. it would also be nice to have some sort of audible signal
whenever content is updated.
Kind regards, Matthew
