Speak status messages is the setting where it would say loading page, load done 
etc.
Those messages are not available in this new browse mode as there is no buffer 
to load any longer.

Not sure if it speaks out a message every time part of the page updates.
i know that for the initial load you get info such as the number of
links and headings and what not.  I was thinking more along the lines
of a short audio signal, a beep if you like
