Yes, and it's pretty silly to do that too. Of course, neither are done to protect one's self from unscrupulous people. It is to protect against the honest, who, in all likelihood, wouldn' t have done anything in the first place.
BTW, I agree with the right of the organization to do whatever it wants to protect itself. I was just poking fun at the idea.
