That depends on whether the application can actually handle that
type of
file. It *should* work, but there are all sorts of hateful edge
cases that
you can trigger if you try hard enough.
FWIW, I'm so happy to have learned about this feature that I'm not
even going to scold you for not hating it while discussing it.
- Drag-to-save makes a copy if you, as usual, hold down the "Option"
key. (also the Control and Command keys, but WTH)
- Drag-to-open works from TextMate to Opera and from Preview to Opera
or Safari.
Do you think they teach this at the Genius Bar classes?
