Ayush Saxena commented on HDFS-14545: ------------------------------------- Thanx [~elgoiri] I know we weren't having this part of Exception earlier, To make it generic these Exceptions got introduced. But this shouldn't ideally throw an exception, Since all the inputs to it are predefined and hard coded by us, this part doesn't have any user level inputs. So, I guess we can let it as is. Well we are logging the error message, The most we can do is wrap that message into an IO and throw back. But frankly we are having a beforehand proto check, and all corresponding classes we have only defined and they aren't going to change. I guess we can let this as is, Or we still have a chance to go back and follow the same 4 method trend, if something feels going wrong here. Well I tried this at actual cluster too, and it worked as expected. You may even give a try, We can hold it off and rethink for sometime, if you suspect that we have missed upon something critical. Let me know what can be done. :) > RBF: Router should support GetUserMappingsProtocol > -------------------------------------------------- > > Key: HDFS-14545 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-14545 > Project: Hadoop HDFS > Issue Type: Sub-task > Reporter: Íñigo Goiri > Assignee: Ayush Saxena > Priority: Major > Attachments: HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891-01.patch, > HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891-02.patch, HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891-03.patch, > HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891-04.patch, HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891-05.patch, > HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891-06.patch, HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891-07.patch, > HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891-08.patch, HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891-09.patch, > HDFS-14545-HDFS-13891.000.patch > > > We should be able to check the groups for a user from a Router. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: hdfs-issues-unsubscr...@hadoop.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: hdfs-issues-h...@hadoop.apache.org
