Hello folks,
I've just uploaded the latest version of libmbr, libgpt and hdisk to
launchpad: lp:~bremby/hdisk/trunk.
I made the changes we discussed so it should be okay now.
MBR: as far as I tested, it doesn't change anything on its own. It tries
to keep original data. I don't think anything is missing.
GPT: it updates both main and backup headers and partitions arrays,
computes CRC, generates pseudo-random UUIDs. It doesn't fully support
other than 128-byte partition entries, but that should be easy to fix
since most of the code is adapted to it already. But it does support
unlimited number of partitions.
hdisk: should be fine. It supports aligning on both MBR and GPT. With GPT,
though, it does not check partition boundaries and overlapping. The
library does support it, but hdisk does not use it.
Any comments?
Dominik
