I removed it and got an application error. So I put the working directory back to the steam folder and the first time I ran it the console appeared and I got a winsock error in the log opening port 27015. Steam wasn't alredy running neither was anything HL releated. I checked in netstat and nothing was using the port so I tried again. This time I got a green window open in the top left corner that looks about the size of the server options dialog you see when starting via steam. I has the close window button on the top right, and a completely empty drop-down list in the top left (actually in the title bar). The close button doesn't work - closing it from the taskbar does. Is there going to be any way I can run a client and a server on the same PC - Its going to be very hard to debug stuff without being able to add two players into the server. What about XP fast user switching and steam on two different accounts - worth exploring? _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders
