Valve already said that when they compile a mac and windows version are made. I don't know how they are doing this but as the only non modular part of Source is the engine, I'm guessing they have a compile script that places in the corect modules for mac or windows.

Would something similar not just be handy for Mac and Linux. I know the engine would need a major re haul as it is but just a thought. That way porting would be a piece of (Portal)cake and the SDK would be a little less Rtarded.
