Saul, The browser overlay uses standard Windows GDI to draw pages onscreen, the Server's MOTD you are required to see after connecting to a server is drawn by BitBlt (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd183370%28VS.85%29.aspx) doing a bitmap copy of the page to show a servers MOTD.
