Hi Fletch, (and everyone else), Currently I run a number of TF2 servers, of which 10~ are quickplay. The rest do not run quickplay because they are on custom rotations or are over 24 players. My question is this: How does TF2 detect if servers are editing gameplay (respawn times) and not editing tags? I ask because all my servers run a custom plugin that allows players to "buy" faster/instant respawns using points they earn for playing (earning kills, capping points, etc). However this does not change global respawn times and so does not edit the value of sv_tags.
Is this type of thing going to trip something in the client that then reports my server to valve, or is this whole process tracked with the abuse reporting system? I hope that running things like this is still okay since my players love the plugin and they would be really upset if it was only on my non-quickplay servers. Thanks for any light you can shed on this question. _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
