I just double clicked the files so they opened in Windows Media Player. I'm sure that if I played them using the USB lead they'd be okay (I'll try that when I get back in - I need to go out for an hour) but my real need is to be able to transfer them onto my computer.
I've read what I thought were the relevant sections of the manual, but I must admit I've not read it cover to cover (it only arrived about an hour ago) but I couldn't see any reference to copying directly from the card.
