High G#, I never play it on the F side, unless it's a single F horn, then 2-3 Otherwise, depending on the horn Holton - 2-3 or 2 both very usable Kruspe - 2 only 8D - 2-3, or 2 if going by fast enough so you don't hear so much that it's flat Ascending 3rd horn - It's been awhile, but if I'm remembering right, it's still 2-3 but it's a shorter horn. 3rd raises the G to an A, then adding 2 lowers it back down to Ab.
