After getting htdig installed, configured, and running, I decided it was
time to start moving things around. So I reran the configure. But when
running rundig, I see the following:

   $ sh rundig
   htpurge: Database is empty!

It does build the db.docdb and db.wordlist. I figure I've messed
something up with the configure:

./configure \
  --prefix=/www/example/config/htdig                                   \
  --bindir=/usr/local/etc/htdig/bin                                    \
  --with-config-dir=/www/example/config/htdig/conf                     \
  --with-default-config-file=/www/example/config/htdig/conf/htdig.conf \
  --with-common-dir=/www/example/config/htdig/share                    \
  --with-database-dir=/www/example/config/htdig/var                    \
  --with-cgi-bin-dir=/www/example/www/cgi-bin                          \
  --with-image-dir=/www/example/images/htdig/                          \
  --with-image-url-prefix=/images/htdig                                \
  --with-search-dir=/www/example/www/

clues please.  thank you.
