I went to look at my notes and that shows 3.2.0b3. If memory serves,
that's what I have installed at
http://new.unixathome.org/htdig/search.php I'm happy with that
version. Where can I look to tell the version? I tried. I failed.

I don't need to upgrade. This is a fresh install. Well, a reinstall. Despite
my mistaken attempt to install 3.1.5 last night.
