It would sure make it easier to line masks up so you don't end with thin little slivers between them.

Why are you trying to line up masks? you should be able to overlap them with the same effect.

In general I don't have much need for mask accuracy - enblend will try and place the seam as far as possible from any mask or photo edges, so the precise location of the mask isn't very critical.
