We use PDSE for several year since our development starts using C/C++. At the beginngs the LE-Prelinker solve the need for PDSE with some restrictions. However DB2-WLM/CICS and regular Batch will work with PDSE objects concationate with PDS loads. It will also resolve the PDS COMPRESS thread we seen at IBM-MAIN a few days ago. LNKLST will work with PDSE only LPA will be a problem as PDSE support isn't available during NIP. Not sure about extents in this case.
Unfortunally the process for the internal compress is a bit hidden to me.
