Right on the money! Some of us write code that assembles and runs both on current systems and on MVS 3.8 (or even MVT, MFT, or DOS) under Hercules on our PCs or MACs, and the fewer incompatibilities there are, the easier it is to maintain compatibility. While the Tachyon assembler is helpful in handling lower case, underscores, and long names, it is not generally available.
