I've kept the mailing list for the requirements committee, and there are
79 names on it - including yours and Shmuel's. There was a lot of
interest in the SLAC mods at the time.

I vaguely recall that IBM changed the "active USINGs" display, which
took some getting used to.

According to John, IBM ended up overhauling the assembler, cleaning it
up a great deal. The new HLASM product was more ambitious than the SLAC
code-lift that people asked for; lobbying for the SLAC mods made opening
the moribund ASMH possible.
