Would not, could not, without a box... The contention (not entirely crazy) is that if they provide ANY service at all, they'll lose money. "Oh, so don't offer any service." Right, but then (they fear) people will report problems using their work system, so *de facto* they'll be servicing these other systems. And/or "No business will buy services without support".
But in this modren [sic] age, I've often thought that they could TRY it and see, then kill it if it didn't meet their goals, eh?
