I can do a Q NSS USERS ISPDCSS and occasionally see a user but this relies

Apart from doing sampling queries at regular intervals, is there anyway that
I can monitor more accurately the use of the saved segment?

Back in the old days I had a TRSOURCE set to trap the *first* usage of
a segment (and register the userid). You would not want to audit every
diag64 call... If the segment is used only very rarely and you can
talk users out of it when you identified them, then this should be
pretty effective.

If you want I can help you find where to put the trace in your level of z/VM.
