Detaching a VCTCA destroys the device. Do a CP SEND TCPIP DEFINE CTC 2003, and then try to couple it from the other virtual machine as Kris describes.

Detached an existing CTC from TCPIP but can't see to get it reattached/redefined... It was defined as a CTC for a linux guest and now I'm trying to connect it to a second level VM. I did this as suggested yesterday: SET SECUSER TCPIP MAINT SEND CP TCPIP DET 2030 SEND CP TCPIP DET 2031 Thought I could do this: SEND CP TCPIP ATT 2030 TO VMTEST AS 2000 but obviously, that isn't right. So, how do I get 2030 reattached to TCPIP for VMTEST??? Anne D. Crabtree System Programmer WV Dept of Administration - OT 304-558-5914 ext 8885 Fax 304-558-1351
