Mary Anne,

I have been doing VM since VM/370 Release 2 (ca 1973) and do not have a
Knighthood. The title is based on making some type of significant
contribution, either through volunteerism or in code that enhances the
platform. I have never been in a position where I could even attend two
successive SHAREs, much less be a long term ribbon wearer, and my code
contributions, with the exception of the I/O Throttling Facility, have
been more from the early days when we were all contributing fixes and
circumventions that we had found. I would not expect that to be
sufficient to earn a title. Considering where I have been employed, my
early work in VM was more important to the ACP, now TPF, community than
it was to VM.

Regards,
Richard Schuh

Congrats Fran. You gave Joe Paterno a run for his money.

Where do I get one of these names? I've been doing VM fulltime
for 2 years now, what are the requirements?
