The VTape I am referring to is a Z/VM based product and the vendor is
Virtual Software Systems. It creates virtual tape drives and manages
its own tapes and libraries.

I don't think we are talking about the same Vtape.

=>Jim,
=>
=> We are currently running DYNAM 7.0 SP 4 and using VSAM based
=> VTAPE under VSE 3.1.2. It works just fine and will automatically
=> "mount" the virtual tapes for you. I would need to check my notes
=> to see how I set it up, but it is pretty straight forward.
