If we are just re-booting we just INIT6 on the Linux guest. I am setting up something so that when we take everything down for maintenance and such I want to do it from VM.


Like Larry said, the SIGNAL SHUTDOWN support is the best command for the job. All of the Linux shutdowns can be controlled by an authorized user. As each Linux is shut down, it is reported to the user that issued the command.
