Oh Susan, I don't know. I want my horse to enjoy his work. Although I know some folks who use work as a punishment I'm not sure it's a training method I would adopt..
I also don't like to turn a barn sour horse back to the barn. I want him to have the "reward" of getting it right and to learn that the correct behavior is to walk away from the barn willingly in order to go out where the fun happens. And I am willing to get off and lead him past the "sticking spot" if that's what it takes. Nancy
