We have enough OSS enthusiasts who'd be willing to volunteer and complete
cooperation from administration. We were having our mid-sem break when the
ILUG-D meeting took place so the college was totally deserted, there were no
students and only few faculty which is why only the coordinators of our LUG
attended the meeting.

Secondly we do have the Andrew's back breaking work and his department

We have complete support of our Vice Chancellor- Prof. J.P. Gupta <
[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, CSE/IT H.O.D - Sh. Sanjay Goel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
Open Source Departmental Special Interest Group (DSIG) coordinator Mr. Arun
Chaturvedi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. I am the Technical Society Head of
our JIIT Youth Club <jiityouthclub.org>, Coordinator of OSS DSIG and Founder
& Coordinator of JIITU-LUG. We conduct our annual techno-cultural festival -
JIVE <jive05.com, jive06.com, jive07.com> everywhere at a very big scale.
They want students to be involved in such activities, though we can arrange
a meeting with them to discuss this.

I totally agree on this. Dr. Andrew suggested that we have a satellite event
instead of making JIIT the venue for the main event for Freed.in 2008 and
then think of the prospects of having the main event here.
