as a lawyer, I find the most difficult problem with being an activist  
is the lack of clients who are willing to fight all the way. As you  
appear to be such a client, I suggest you contact an activist lawyer  
- Software Law Forum has an office in Delhi and would be the ideal  
people to approach. As for fees, dont worry, we will all chip in. The  
key point is not to go to some idiot lawyer who loses the case and  
screws up the field for everyone else. Personally I wouldn't trust a  
lawyer who makes a quote for a whole case. How can he predict it is  
going to cost 12,000? It is not some run-of-the-mill case, it is the  
first of it's kind in India. I would also suggest getting the help of  
other activist luminaries like lawrence liang and eben moglen to help  
draft the complaint.
