Context should make it clear. Clicking on tinyurl links without context
might be risky though.

If you have an issue with tinyurl security, you really should enable the
preview option at tinyurl.com. That way tinyurl will never redirect you without 
showing
the url first and you accepting to be redirected nevertheless.

Long URLs are often broken in mails in this list(and a pain to
reconstruct later), and I am personally
quite ok with tinyurl(and its security). But yes, people who have not
setup preview mode in tinyurl may be at "risk". In any case, it would be
polite to atleast mention the domain name of the link where tinyurl will
redirect you to  (ala slashdot).
