I don't have a netbook. I am using an Intel D945GCLF mobo. It ships with an integrated Atom 230 (1.6GHz), single DDR2 DIMM (max. 2GB), on board video and sound etc. I have a 2GB RAM config. You can get a decent config. for under 6K if you assemble it yourself. Loaded up Ubuntu 8.04.1 and openSUSE 11.0, all devices worked out of box. Desktop performance was decent - I did not notice any sluggishnes. IMO, for regular desktop usage (openoffice, browsing, email) it is a good fit. -- Arun Khan _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
