When operating OS 9.2.2, I was changing the screen resolution from
800 x 600 to 1024 x 768 and noticed an unusual hesitation as well as
a ghost image of the control strip as the computer made the change.
Such behavior usually signals something is out of order, so I ran
Disk First Aid, and it quit halfway through its operation with the following
error:

"Invalid PEOF 711196, 7944. Disk First Aid cannot repair."

I have not idea what this error represents - couldn't find a definition of
this abreviation on my terminology list - or how to go about curing it.
I did rebuild the desktop just in case it would help, but another run of
DFA shows the error remains. I have both the old and new versions
of Disk Warrior, but running the old version (for OS 9) is very time
consuming.

If anyone recognizes this error/situation and has a solution, please
enlighten me. I may have to go the Disk Warrior route, but hope I won't
have to.
