Go for the Airport Card. They're <$50 on ebay. It's internal so you never leave without it. The other option would be an ethernet bridge for ~$70.

The USB dongles, IMO, are worthless. I have one on an old iMac and the performance is terrible - to the point where doing any machine-to- machine transfers is out of the question. The drivers were hard to find and only exist for a handful of dongles.

Go with the Airport, you won't be sorry.
