I gave my grandson an eMac 700mhz with 1 gb RAM running 10.4.11 when he was 10, now he's 12 and the eMac still runs great, never had a problem. He uses it online (mostly Facebook), with GarageBand (iLife 2005 version), and with his iPod Shuffle.
