I was thinking there was a place to insert a paperclip into the slot on the
front, but I can't remember for sure -

Since I am new to Mac computers, I don't really know what you are suggesting,
but eve thought I figured it out I am unable to do it, since I cannot make any
mouse or keyboard work... :(

Off-topic: Is there a way to force the ejection of a disc from the slot loading
drive that do not use keyboard or mouse or I will have crack the iMac open in
order to do it?

Thank you guys!

computer, restart the computer, then plug the USB stuff back in again. I have been doing this
for several years now - I was told to fix the USB problem would be expensive.

sounds like logic board trouble to me. But it's a lot cheaper to re-plug than replace
if that's all thats wrong with it. Have you tried the ASD 3S132 for 2008 or ASD 3S132
for 2009? One of these will test the hardware way better than the AHT on you install
disk. the ASD is not the end all do all test but it may tell you if a logic board is at
fault.
