Yes, we highly recommend that our customers scan both their incoming and
outgoing mail. That will protect you from situations like the one you
describe.
Most of our customers will send out E-mail notifications to the recipient
of the virus (letting them know that someone tried sending them a virus),
but only if the recipient is local. That way, when the boss spreads a
virus, everyone in his address book won't find out! :)
