Netscape Messenger doesn't do SMTP AUTH (is what I was told here, I think 
by Dusty), so if you have SMTP AUTH (ie, with relay for addresses on), your 
NS callers are SOL, but only when they are calling in to your from outside 
of your address block.

SMTP VRFY means "SMTP server A asks to verify that mail account X is 
present on SMTP server B).  Has nothing to do with POP/IMAP mail client 
security/access control.
