It's not a bug--it's a feature! No, really, HTTP is a "connectionless"
protocol, meaning the server doesn't hold a pipe open for you and you alone
as long as you want. (Please forgive me if I'm being painfully obvious). In
order to protect your email from being accessed or hijacked by another user,
IMail apparently has a timeout (reportedly about 12 minutes, at least in
v.6) which is responsible for the kick back to the login page after the
timeout has expired. The official solution is to compose in Notepad and
cut-n-paste into a ms. when you're logged in. Annoying, but does make some
kind of sense. If you don't want this behavior, use an off-line mail client,
like Eudora or, dare I say, Outlook....

That often happens to me on v5.0. I compose a message, but when I click
'send' I am taken to the logon page. The only recourse seems to be to click
the 'back' button, copy the text of the message, go to the logon screen and
logon, paste the message, and try again. (This is in IE. Netscape simply
refuses to send the message.)
