I really don't know if the RELAY FOR ADDRESSES is working or not.
Coz before I change the option, I forgot to press APPLY. So after I went to do my
testing, although it asked me for the password, I am not sure if it is working or not
since when I look at IMail Administrator again, the option went back to RELAY FOR
ANYONE. I don't know during I do the testing, whether it is working, or if Netscape
just ask for password whenever you try to send email out.
Later (after I change it back to RELAY FOR ADDRESSES and make sure I press APPLY and
restart the SMTP service) I did have a volunteer who sent mail using netscape and it
prompted for password.
I have no idea why OE uses SSL. I don't know if there is something wrong in the
settings....
The disable SMTP AUTH reporting is UNCHECKED even when I'm just using
RELAY For ANYONE option.
Should I check the box for "REFUSE <> NULL SENDER" in SMTP security?
Does this help to close the relay hole problem?
I can setup an account for you to test. but -- now i'm still using RELAY for ANYONE
option since RELAY for addresses FAILED during the testing....
Thank you for your help!
