If I might suggest, go into the Email account using the web interface
and delete the previously received messages.  We have had some customers
getting either very large messages or ones with large attachment and have
had problems.  This is particularly bad if the customer is using a slow
connection or has poor line conditions.

    As a side light you can also go in to the account properties in
Outlook/Outlook Express and set the server time out to 5 minutes if the
problem is just the server timing out while pulling down larger than usual
mail spools.
