I'm sys admin / tech manager - where does that leave me? Then throw in that
the 2 concerned are directors.

Sounds a bit rough, I made policy when we started that the machines were
mine, and I had final say on security etc. If I want them attacked / checked
for security or wanted to let loose a hoard of hackers, then was up to me.
Got it in writing, which surprised the hell out of me - no arguments or
anything (well, one or two, but not from anyone I would take notice of
(beancounters)).
