It actually is already operational within the domains themselves (i.e.
every  user  already  has credentials)...provided you are not using an
ODBC  database  for  the virtuals *and* you are using the Registry for
the  primary  domain  on the real IP. But this is not exactly the same
thing  we're  talking about below. The below setup works regardless of
whether you're using ODBC or not for the virtuals, since it amounts to
actually   creating  a  new  shared  account  on  the  primary  domain
specifically for authentication.

Yes,  you don't use the @primarydomain.com for accounts on the primary
domain. They would log in using 'shareddomain.com' as their username.
