DiskKeeper runs nightly on this machine, so it isn't fragmented.  It's less
than a year old, and the cpu usage is never more than 5% (except when
sending a message to all users which I only do in the early morning hours)

A few other details I failed to mention:
using the Imail database
user naming convention is firstname.lastname
one domain only

How is the routing maintenance been on your server? ie: defrag the hard 
drives?
