That only applies to on-access virus scanners, not SMTP virus scanners.
The problem is that if you have 2 on-access virus scanners running at the
same time, they will "fight" for access to a file, which can cause problems.
However, there is no problem running multiple on-demand scanners that are
set up correctly. For example, with Declude Virus Pro, you can enter a
list of up to 5 virus scanners, and they will all get called (in serial, to
prevent access issues) to scan the mail. There are no conflicts, because
Declude controls access to the files.
In a similar way, the original question (using IMail AntiVirus and F-Prot)
isn't a problem, because IMail AntiVirus isn't an on-access scanner, so it
won't fight with Declude/F-Prot when accessing the E-mail.

This is very true, and is the drawback of using multiple
scanners. Depending on the server and mail volume, though, this may or may
not be an issue. For example, a company handling internal E-mail of 5,000
to 10,000 E-mails/day isn't going to have a problem with multiple
scanners. If you're an ISP with 100,000 E-mails/day, multiple AV scanning
would best be handled with multiple machines.

Not with Declude. <G>
