Have you checked the logs to see why?

If those DNS queries work on the Red Hat servers, but not the IMail server,
then IMail is set up to use a different DNS server than the Red Hat servers
(or, less likely, doesn't have the same level of access to the DNS server).
Note that the IMail server will use the DNS servers listed in the IMail
SMTP settings, not the default DNS servers that are listed in the Windows
settings.
