In the years I've been using IMail, I've never heard any reports of it 
using the wrong MX priorities.

Yes, there were some versions where IMail would go to the A record if it 
could not reach the MX records, which was wrong (it should only use the A 
records if the MX records do not exist).  However, this has been fixed.

Could you please post some log files showing the MX priority issue (or 
links to posts here about it before today)?
