Our ISP uses a firewall and they do proxy SMTP, the error was coming from the firewall.
You know, somedays, you can't see the forest for the trees! Thanks, I just upgraded my firewall software and apparantly the smtp proxy reset itself to the default settings, which block anything greater than 3 mbs. So, a firewall WAS the culprit...my firewall..DUH I think I need a vacation! Thanks everyone!
