Yes I would think so if I understand you right,
Outside world can't hit your internal IP...

Jason,
Port is opened at the firewall.
66.149.9.23 is my one and only static IP Address. I am hosting more than one
site on that IP address, however I was using a Private IP address
192.168.100.xxx for the web site to listen on.
Are you suggesting that I enter 66.149.9.23 in IIS for the site and other
sites to listen on it instead of the private IP?
Please forgive if I sound stupid.

Is the server Dual Homed? If so then you are accessing a different

Address

with the external DNS. DNS is showing your address as 66.149.9.23 This

is

what the web mail is comming up on also. Now verify that IIS is set to

run

on this IP address AND use port 80. If that is correct, then port 80
inbound may be blocked at the firewall.

That's the amazing thing I point my client machine to my internal DNS I

see

the pages fine.
But when I point the an external DNS I get the error.
Thanks for the tip about the IMail having it's own http server

Be advised your Imail server has it's own http server, so there is no
direct correlation between being able to access :8383 and your web

site

which is likely run by another http server.

http://www.mindcreative.net resolves to 66.149.9.23, so DNS appears OK

I get "connection refused" as if your HTTP server is down.

Hello All,

I am having some trouble hear and I realize I maybe asking in the

wrong

place, but you have been more reliable than other forums. I am an

IMail

user but the issue is not with IMail.

I can access IMail via port 8383 but I am not able to access my web

page.

I can see my web page internally so IIS must be working but

Externally

I

am not able to access.
I can browse the internet so port 80 doesn't seem to be the issue.
can anyone offer any suggestions? I think I have tried everything I
possible could but to no avail.
This issue started over the weekend and my ISP doesn't show any

issues.

Your help is very much appreciated.
