Well it's already a feature in IMail 8.0:

Reverse DNS Lookup Verification

The IP address of the connecting server is used to perform a reverse DNS
lookup, to determine the domain name. If a domain has a valid PTR record,
the message is accepted. If a reverse lookup fails, it means there is no
reverse record for that IP address, and the message is marked as spam. An IP
address with no PTR record is usually either a dial-up or spoofed, both of
which are indicators of spam. However, it should be noted that a
significant number of legitimate mail servers do not have a reverse DNS
entry. This may cause legitimate mail to be marked as spam (false positive).

FWIW.. we don't use the rDNS lookup verification feature.. 'yet'

What is going to be the next step? Blocking email from servers that the
reverse-DNS does not match the host greeting? Are there those on the list
who going to claim that having a single IP mail server with virtual domains
is dumb, a most probably a source for spam and should be banned? Is there
room for bunker mentality on the Internet? The Internet should remain open
to all and we should be working together (key word) against those that abuse
it. Hell, there are so many people who abuse democracy maybe we should do
away with it...
