Hello,

I want to set up my IMail-Server as a backup server.
This is my DNS configuration:

10 MX mail1.mydomain
20 MX mail2.mydomain

whereas mail1 is the main mail server and mail2 is my IMail-Server.
I don't have any hosts configured (except for main one) in the IMail-
AdminPanel. The Relay-OnlyFor setting is set to the IP of
mail1.mydomain. And the "send all mails to this gateway:
mail1.mydomain"-setting is set. Ok.
If mail1 is down, the mail is sent to my IMail server. OK.
If mail1 pops up again, the mail is forwarded.. looks like it works
fine.

but... now I'm a spammer:
I don't log into mail1 but into mail2.mydomain. I'll use

from: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
body: be rich message (yes, this one really works! ;-)

Now as @mydomain is ok for mail2 and it's not possible to check if
"berichandfamous" is a valid user for that domain, my mailserver
accepts this message for forwarding. Whilst forwarding to Mail1 the
server mail1 doesn't accept this mail ("unknown user"). And Mail2
creates a "unknown user message" with my "be rich" content in it and
sends it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (with a "Undeliverable Mail"
subject of course)! My IMail-Server acts now as spamming server
(well, kind of). How to prevent the "unknown user" sending?

Regards,
Dennis Spreen
