Key. You need to have a HOSTS entry for aquesthosting.com and erinhope.com,
not mail.aquesthosting.com and mail.erinhope.com. You might need the MX
record in the HOSTS file as well, although Len can answer that better than I
can. However...

Key. You only have one local DNS zone, mylocaldomain.local. That is not
using split DNS.

You need to have a zone for aquesthosting.com and erinhope.com on that
internal DNS server.

Did you try telnet? Try using "telnet mail.erinhope.com 25" Note the space,
not a colon. Colon only works in IE.
